{"id":992,"date":"2013-04-12T01:32:37","date_gmt":"2013-04-11T15:32:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/?p=992"},"modified":"2013-04-12T01:37:12","modified_gmt":"2013-04-11T15:37:12","slug":"samsung-galaxy-sii-vodafone-australia-jelly-bean-4-1-2-update-touchwiz-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/2013\/04\/12\/samsung-galaxy-sii-vodafone-australia-jelly-bean-4-1-2-update-touchwiz-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Samsung Galaxy SII, Vodafone Australia Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Update TouchWiz Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"ntsbl-459832951\" class=\"ntsbl-before-content ntsbl-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-6288941070289539\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" \ndata-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6288941070289539\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"9356781486\"><\/ins> \n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div><h2>The problem<\/h2>\n<p>I just upgraded my Vodafone Samsung Galaxy SII to the latest Jelly Bean 4.1.2, (Had to do it OTA as Kies does not work with Windows 8).<\/p>\n<p>Everything was fine until it started repeatedly crashing.<\/p>\n<h2>The Cause<\/h2>\n<p>I was playing around setting up all my widgets and application access and I dragged the full page calendar widget onto a page and the system slowed and then entered into a crashing loop where I would get a &#8220;TouchWiz Home has Crashed message&#8221; or similar, I would click &#8220;OK&#8221; and approx 20 seconds later it would crash again.<\/p>\n<h2>The Work Around<\/h2>\n<p>Be patient but you should be able to get to your phones settings page.(click Ok on the error, swipe down the &#8220;Action Bar?&#8221; (the one at the top) and click on the &#8220;Settings&#8221; icon, top right).<\/p>\n<p>Once the settings page has opened, the crash will stop occurring.
