My OneDrive folder was still there and when I tried to open a file that was still on the cloud it would not download?<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Looking around I found that OneDrive was not running in my system tray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attempted Fixes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried a few different things;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Download a new version<ol><li>Nope did not work as just told me I already had a newer version install.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>State off the website<ol><li>when you go to download there is a &#8220;Start OneDrive&#8221; button that tries to launch something on your computer. Did nothing for me!!<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Uninstall<ol><li>Went into control panel and tried to uninstall. I found a onedrive entry and I uninstalled but it did not really do anything, as I could not re-install after that as it still complained I had a later version already installed.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>I restarted between all of these attempts<\/li><li>Watch a few youtube vidoes<ol><li> Registry fix &#8211; nope didn&#8217;t have the regsitroy<\/li><li>local Policy change &#8211; nope did nothing.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The fix<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So what fixed it.. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try the following, it worked for me;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Launch the task manager (right click the toolbar &#8211; select task manager)<\/li><li>Select the startup tab.<\/li><li>Sort alphabetically by name and find &#8220;Microsoft OneDrive in the list.<\/li><li>Right click and choose &#8220;Open file location&#8221;<ol><li>This took me to &#8220;%localappdata%\\Microsoft\\OneDrive&#8221;<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>In this folder I had a sub-folder called &#8220;Update&#8221;<\/li><li>Go into the update folder<\/li><li>In there is a file called &#8220;OneDriveSetup.exe&#8221;<\/li><li>Run it<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>It ran a small update and then my Onedrive process automatically started up and re-connected to my existing OneDrive folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Problem solved \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope this works for you too<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to fix OneDrive when it suddenly is no longer running or in your system tray. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1696","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1696","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1696"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1696\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1696"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1696"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ntsblog.homedev.com.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=1696"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
